Congratulations to our EC Boys Golf Team as they are headed back to state as a team! 🏌️‍♂️⛳ The boys finished just three strokes behind the first-place team today to earn the Region 1B Runner-Up title. We are so proud of their hard work, determination, and grit throughout the season! Battling through some ugly weather, the team finished with the following individual results: • Seth Hettick — 4th place (78) • Harrison Beyers — 8th place (79) • Trent Beyers — 16th place (85) We can’t wait to cheer them on at the SDHSAA State Golf Tournament at Brookings Country Club on June 1–2! Great job, boys — and good luck at state! 🍀

This is a reminder that school will dismiss at 2:00 PM tomorrow (Tuesday) and 12:00 PM on Wednesday. No lunch will be served on Wednesday. Afternoon buses will run each day at the dismissal times listed. Thanks!

Congratulations to the class of 2026!! Join us for their walk across the stage today at Edmunds Central at 2 p.m.! This year's commencement speaker is Dean Berry. He is currently serving as the Associate Athletic Director at Northern State University, a role he has held for the past year.

High school track athletes will not participate in Ag or FACS labs in Bowdle this morning. Those students should report to the school in Roscoe. They will be dismissed at 8:40 AM and will depart for the track meet in Ipswich at 8:50 AM.

The E.C. PAC will host their annual Muffins for Moms tomorrow morning from 7:50-8:20 a.m. in the commons. All students PK-5th grade are invited to bring their mom or another loved one for juice, coffee, and muffins!

These boys are on fire—tearing up the course and bringing home the hardware! 🔥⛳️ EC traveled to Cattail Crossing for the GPLHS Invitational and delivered an incredible team score of +11 (227), securing a 1st place finish! Leading the way for the Raiders: 🏅 Seth Hettick took 1st with a +1 (73) 🏅 Harrison Beyers finished 4th with a +3 (75) 🏅 Trent Beyers placed 9th with a +7 (79) Just outside the medals, Cade Beitelspacher carded an impressive 83 to finish 13th. We’re proud of how these boys represent our school—keep chasing those birdies! 🐦💪

Due to a couple scheduling conflicts, there has been a time change for the Academic and Activity Awards Ceremony scheduled to be held on Thursday, May 14th. The event will still be held on that date but will take place during the school day. Start time will be 8:15 AM. The event will be live-streamed and will be completed before golfers leave for the meet in Ipswich that morning. We apologize for the short notice. Thanks!

Another tough day on the course, another first-place finish for the EC boys! 🏆 The team brought home the win with a +17 (233) in a highly competitive 18-hole event. Three varsity players placed in the top 10, earning medals: ⛳ Seth Hettick led the way with a 76, finishing 4th ⛳ Harrison Beyers followed with a 78 for 5th place ⛳ Trent Beyers shot a 79 to take 7th It’s been an incredible season, and it’s exciting to see all their hard work paying off on the greens!

Our E.C. Varsity Golf boys put in a strong performance on the course today, taking first place at the YTC meet in Gettysburg and ending with 4 medalists in the top 10. It was a day of great scores across the board! In a dramatic finish, Harrison Beyers battled through a tie-breaking playoff for first, ultimately finishing 2nd with a 79. Seth Hettick followed closely, just one stroke back, earning 4th place. Cade Beitelspacher secured 5th overall with an 80, and Trent Beyers rounded out the top finishes with a solid 82 for 6th place. Great work by the whole team!

The Edmunds Central FFA will be serving their annual spring meal tonight in the EC commons from 5-7 pm! Come enjoy a homemade roast beef meal provided by the Anderson Family! Everyone welcome! The event is held in conjunction with the PAC spring FOCUS activities.

It was a great day for EC Middle School golfers! Congratulations to Emma Wesch (5th place) and Corbin Beyers (7th place) for their success at the JV/JH YTC Golf Meet at Bowdle today!

Reminder: The EC PAC is hosting a painting class with MyRon Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. PK-3rd grade will be held 5:00-5:45 pm; 4-12th grade will be 6:00-6:45 pm. Sign-up is required by tonight. The EC Varsity Golf team continues to tear up the course! Congratulations to them on another 1st place team finish at the Ipswich meet on Saturday. Seth Hettick finished in 2nd place with a 37 in the 9 hole tournament and Harrison Beyers finished 7th with a 41. Also competing were Trent Beyers (44), and Cade Beitelspacher (43).

The E.C. P.A.C. is hosting a F.O.C.U.S. Friday Spring special this Thursday, April 30th from 5-7 p.m. in conjunction with the spring FFA meal.
