While it appears that snow will taper off in the next hour and visibility may improve, winds have increased significantly since the last message we sent out. As a result, we do not believe that we can safely put buses on the roads today. If we are unable to send out buses we do not believe there should be an expectation that students and parents attempt to travel in the same conditions. As such, Edmunds Central Schools will be CLOSED today, Thursday, December 18th. All activities and practices scheduled for today have been canceled. We will send out information regarding semester tests and other scheduling items for tomorrow later this morning. Thanks!
We will still be administering semester tests for periods 5, 6, 7, and 8 (in that order) today. This is no change from the original plan. Times for testing periods will be adjusted slightly. Once that information has been put together, we will pass that along. Thanks!
Due to the blowing snow and poor visibility, Edmunds Central Schools will be starting 2 HOURS LATE today, Thursday, December 18th. We apologize for the late notice as the snow just became an issue in the past 20-30 minutes. Due to the late start we will push dismissal time back to 3:10 PM. This is a reminder that the Thunder GBB team will take on McIntosh this afternoon in Roscoe. There will be one varsity game beginning at 2:30 PM. The P.A.C. will draw for Christmas Tree Raffle winners at halftime (approx. 3:00 PM). Following the game the Edmunds Central Junior Class will be hosting their Bingo and Soup Supper fundraiser at the Roscoe American Legion. The meal begins at 5:00 PM, Bingo at 7:30 PM. The E.C. junior class is hosting BINGO night with a soup supper tomorrow (Saturday) evening at the Roscoe Legion. Soup will be served from 5-7 p.m. (gluten free available) and BINGO will begin about 7:15 p.m.

This is a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, December 12th, is a student-help day. Due to the number of students with missing work as we near the end of the semester, we are going to extend student-help hours by one hour. Student-help will now run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (noon). A bus will depart from the school in Bowdle at 8:40 AM and shall return students at approximately 12:15 PM. Thanks!

Earlier this morning the bus used for our morning Hosmer/Bowdle route had some mechanical issues shortly after picking up students in Bowdle. We were able to switch buses and get everyone to school safely, albeit about 45 minutes later than normal. Thank you to the Bowdle School District for their help, both in providing an alternate bus and for overseeing the transition from one bus to the other. We certainly appreciate your assistance!
Edmunds Central School District is seeking a part-time evening custodian for 15-20 hours per week. Responsibilities include general cleaning and light maintenance.
