Back in December, FFA members that qualified for State Leadership Events competed in Rapid City. While out there, students attended leadership workshops, met with other chapter members, and connected with SD State FFA Officers and a few other states' officers to expand their leadership skills. The Conduct of Chapter Meetings team placed 14th in the state. They had great poise and received high remarks on their professionalism during the contest. The team consisted of Cash A, Grace R, Lily R, Alexis F, Joclyn V, Kelsey S, and Sophie K. The team spent hours preparing and worked hard to earn their achievement. The Extemporaneous Public Speaker, Jillian F, competed and earned 11th place in the state. She was able utilize knowledge she gained from working with the school bees and attending field trips with Mr. Cody to support her speech topic, which was: " With the bee population in decline, would raising bees in urban areas be a solution." Congratulations to all these students for their hard work!
