The last of the senior trip posts finishes up with a quick two days in Boston. The kids loved Boston and all the great history here! We walked The Freedom Trail (with stops at the gravesites of Samuel Adams & Paul Revere), Paul Revere's house, The Old North Church, and the site of the Boston Massacre. We also took an amphibious duck boat tour of the city and a few of the students were given the wheel while we were on the Charles River - the driver was a hoot and we all did plenty of laughing during the ride. Last, but definitely a highlight, we hit the New England Aquarium before heading to the airport. We also threw some tea into the harbor during our visit to the Boston Tea Party Museum! We've had a great week, enjoyed a ton of American history and monuments and are headed home to our families! The kids have a new appreciation for rest! 😆❤️

This morning in NYC, our EC Seniors experienced a very impactful early access tour at the 9/11 Museum and Memorial. We had an incredible tour guide who walked us through the historic details of this date.
We are so thankful to have had this museum to ourselves before it filled with more people. Standing on the bedrock of the Twin Towers and viewing the box column remnants listening to the story was so powerful.

Ford's Theatre is a true highlight of our trip! The history we get to hear about here is incredible and the National Park Rangers are great at telling this piece of history.
We enjoyed the tour of the theatre, The Petersen House, and the regrouped for the limited time showing of the theatrical comedy 1776, which musically tells the story of the founding fathers and the signing of The Declaration of Independence.

*** 2026 Senior Class Trip *** Post 4 *** A ton of gratitude to Congressman Dusty Johnson's office for hosting our kids on a staff-led tour of our U.S. Capitol. The kids loved our tour guide and the experience of being offered the special "outdoor" tour which took us right out their office window to the balcony of The House building and great views of D.C.!

The Monuments were a favorite among the kids! They love riding the scooters/bikes to take these beautiful sites in at their own pace.
While not an a presidential monument, The Albert Einstein Memorial is so unique and always a fun stop!

The seniors and advisors have had a great time seeing all the sites of Washington, D.C.!
Our agenda is packed. Check out a few of our pictures from The Holocaust Museum, The FBI Experience, and The Natural History Museum.
Each of these places offers such incredible sites and lessons for us to see. From the striking collection of shoes and the Auschwitz bunks at The Holocaust Museum to the incredible displays at The Natural History Museum to the FBI agent's stories about their cases and seeing the actual boat that one of the the Boston Marathon bombers hid in, the seniors have enjoyed all their stops so far!

You’re never going to believe who stopped by to read with us today?!? 👀📚
The one and only The Once-ler! That’s right — the Once-ler and The Lorax brought loads of fun to E.C. Elementary when they stopped by to read our librarian’s personal favorite, The Lorax by Dr. Seuss! 🌳💚
Story time was even more exciting with a super-crazy Wacky Wednesday party mix and a special gift of books for every student from the E.C. P.A.C. 🎉📖
Help us build a love for reading outside our walls as well as inside them — because reading builds brains! 🧠✨
