HS VB players that will be picked up in Bowdle for practice in Eureka this afternoon should park on the West side of the school as there is work being done in the lot on the East side. The van for VB will be parked, and leave from, the West side of the building as well. Thanks!

The Edmunds Central School District is in search of a long-term substitute for a special education paraprofessional position. The position is temporary. Interested candidates can expect to fill the position for approximately six (6) weeks with an anticipated start date of early September and end date of late October. Remember that tomorrow is picture day! We will once again be using a paperless ordering system. Your child(ren) will be bringing a code home for you to access and order pictures online. The seniors will also be taking their pictures for senior banners. Picture retake day is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22nd.

The FCCLA meeting scheduled for tonight is moved to Tuesday August 18th at 7:00pm in the new FACS room at EC.

A Junior Class meeting will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, August 18th at 6:25 pm in the school commons. Each junior participating in senior trip fundraising is required to attend with at least one parent. Please contact Kelly or Sandra at the school with any questions.

We have a couple information items to pass along. First, school start and end times have been adjusted slightly for the 2026-27 school year. They will be as follows:

8:10 AM - First Bell Rings
8:15 AM - School Begins (All Levels)
3:17 PM - MS/HS Dismissal
3:20 PM - Elementary Dismissal

All students will be dismissed according to the times outlined above. There will not be an earlier dismissal time for students traveling to Bowdle. That bus will depart from the school in Roscoe as close to 3:20 PM as possible, with an approximate arrival time in Bowdle of 3:35 PM.

Additionally, we have made a few minor changes to our student-help Fridays. Student-help time will be extended and run from 8:15 AM to 11:15 AM for all grade levels. Attendance for MS and HS students will be required and tracked, but there will be a formal exemption process through which students will not need to attend should they have no missing assignments and having a passing grade in each class. More information regarding these changes will be provided in advance of the first student-help Friday which is scheduled for Friday, August 28th.

If your student will need bussing in the morning, afternoon, or both, and you have not already notified the school, we ask that you do so at your earliest convenience. This does not pertain the students that will be riding the bus to and from Bowdle. Thanks!

Tomorrow (Thursday) is the first day of MS and HS Volleyball practice. Practice is scheduled for 3:30 PM in Eureka. The bus from Roscoe will leave at 2:35 PM. That bus will stop for pick-up in Bowdle at the east parking lot of the school at approximately 2:55 PM. Please make sure that players have their physicals completed and ready to be turned in if they have not already done so. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Kunz. Thanks!

This is a reminder that MS & HS Football practice will begin this Thursday, August 6th at 8:00 AM in Eureka. Transportation from Roscoe will leave at 7:10 AM and 7:30 AM from Bowdle. Please plan on attending our Back to School Open House on Wednesday, August 12th from 4:00-6:30 PM. It is a great opportunity to get all of your Back to School paperwork done and meet with teachers!

📚✏️ 2026–2027 Edmunds Central School District Supply Lists 🎒🍎

This is a reminder that work will continue on the main parking lot today. The lot will remain closed until at least Monday, July 13th. This includes foot traffic. Visitors to the school should park on the east side of the building and use the sidewalk to access the main entrance. Please do not drive or walk on any newly resurfaced areas. Thanks!

Cleaning and resurfacing of the main parking lot on the south side of the building (including street-side parking) will be taking place today through the end of the week. Parking in that lot will be off-limits until further notice. If you have a vehicle currently parked in that lot we ask that it be moved as soon as possible. Thanks!
