Good afternoon. Any boys in grades 2 - 5 that are interested in participating in Football Skills and Drills are invited to come to the Eureka Softball Complex on Tuesday, September 22nd at 5:30 PM. Moving forward the group would like to meet regularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays at that time. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Taylor Deurmier at 701-403-3719.
First FFA Meeting of the year is tonight at 7 PM in the new Ag room. Mrs. Trefz will pick students up in Bowdle at 6:25, pancake and sausage supper provided.
Picture retakes are scheduled for Tuesday, September 22nd. If your child(ren) missed the first picture day or is wanting to take retakes, please call the school at 605-287-4251 or email Trish.Kunz@k12.sd.us to get on the list. Thank you!
6th-12th grade students have been invited to attend a beginning-of-the-year assembly this Thursday, September 17th in Eureka. The assembly will be performed by Attaboy, a pop-style music group that delivers a positive message about making good choices, treating others well, and handling the challenges students face.
The assembly will begin at 1:30 PM in Eureka and will last approximately one hour. Buses will leave Roscoe at 12:30 PM, arrive in Eureka around 1:15 PM, and then leave to return to Roscoe around 2:30 PM.
MS/HS football players practicing in Eureka that day will stay following the assembly and begin practice at approximately 3:30 PM. Bowdle students will be dropped off at the school in Bowdle on the way back from Eureka so they don't have to get back on a bus and backtrack as soon as we get back to Roscoe. Drop-off time in Bowdle should be approximately 3:00 PM. All other bus routes will run at their usual times, as students should be back to Roscoe by 3:20 PM.
Thanks!

Notifications for MS and HS students required to attend student-help this Friday, September 18th, will be sent via Rooms tomorrow (Thursday) evening. Again, if you have not yet set up access to Rooms, we ask that you do so as soon as possible. Please understand that all students will be aware of whether or not they have completed the exemption process and whether or not their attendance on Friday will be required. The notification provided via Rooms is simply a courtesy to families. As a reminder the school day on Friday will begin at 8:15 AM. If students do not turn-in a completed exemption form at the end of the day Thursday (even if they have no missing work), they are required to attend on Friday. If students do not complete the exemption process they should bring their incomplete exemption sign-off forms with them on Friday as they will be allowed to leave once they have received the "sign-off" from all teachers. Please keep in mind that students utilizing bus transportations to and from Bowdle will not be able to leave until that bus leaves to return to Bowdle at 11:15 AM. If you have questions, please contact the school office at 605-287-4251. Thanks!

The EC FFA and FCCLA students started the year off with a generous service project for our school. They took time to help put corn up for our school kitchen. Their service will be appreciated by our entire student body for months to come!
