The North Central Thunder Cross Country team ended their 2025 season on Saturday at the South Dakota State Cross Country Meet held at Broadland Creek Golf Course in Huron. Competing among the top runners in the state, the Thunder showed incredible effort, determination, and pride in their final race of the season.
In the boys’ Class B division, the Thunder placed an impressive 7th overall out of 18 teams. Drew led the way with a strong 21st-place finish, followed by Aaron (33rd), Noah (59th), Jason (60th), and Avery (70th) out of 121 varsity runners. Their consistent performances throughout the year culminated in a well-earned top-ten finish at state.
In the girls’ division, Grace and Mikaela represented North Central with outstanding efforts, placing 49th and 69th respectively out of 111 varsity runners. Both athletes ran tough races on a challenging course, showcasing the same determination that carried them through the season.

We will again be conducting student-led conferences for students in Grades 5-12. Each student has been scheduled for a 15-minute block of time in which they will lead their own conference. Parents, and all of the student's teachers, are expected to attend the conference. Scheduled times will be sent home with students this afternoon. So please check with your student to ensure that you aware of your scheduled time(s). We have a very limited availability in regard to rescheduling conference times as we are planning to conduct over 100 conferences over the course of three days, with many of them taking place simultaneously. We will do our best to address conflicts that may arise; however, we cannot guarantee that additional time slots will be available.
This message has also been delivered via Rooms and can be accessed through the Edmunds Central app for those that have signed up.
Thanks!

Last spring we added Rooms, an extension of our current website and mobile app. This platform allows parents and students the ability to follow important classroom information and also provides a direct line of communication to the classroom teacher. Many of you have already signed up for this platform and are using it in connection with the Edmunds Central App. If you have not yet signed up, please check your email for an invitation to join Rooms (email will come from a company called Thrillshare). Our goal is to make Rooms the primary mode of communication between teachers, parents, and even students. Please visit the link below (which is also available on our website) for more information regarding Rooms.
